  1. 1. Driving through the Pilbarra Region (region under the Kimberleys, WA)
2./3. Newman - biggest Iron Ore mine in the world. Newman is nothing but a mine town - however, one of the biggest of its kind and also one of the more lucrative places to work. People working in the mines earn heaps of money, which is why many people go there for a couple of years to make the big money. However, life there is accordingly expensive. It costs you a fortune to buy or even rent a house there and the town doesn't have much to offer apart from a 2 bars and a big supermarket (and those other facilities you need as a town). Many workers therefore don't in Newman but fly in and fly out, arranging their working schedule accordingly. The people who live their are mostly male workers, which contributes to the atmosphere in the town, or rather in its public places. I guess this is a life style that is very different from what people consider "average".
4./5. Karijini National Park - beautiful landscape, red soil all over and far too many flies;-)
